Upgrading the cards is one of the most important parts of the game, as it helps you to advance your collection level and unlock new cards.
With these cards, you will not be stopped, and your enemies will fear you and retreat in horror. Upgrade cards also help you to unlock different types of cards which are very rare and you will show that you are an experienced player.
- Upgrading is the most important part of progressing the game.
- Cost and point boosters upgrades and change the appearance of your cards.
- Upgrading cards unlocks deck levels that give you new cards and other rewards.
- Some of the group level rewards are fixed and some are random.
- Use your loans efficiently but don’t hoard them.
Marvel Snap is all about collecting boosts and credits to upgrade the most cards as quickly as possible. Upgrading is important for various reasons in the game and gives you an advantage over your enemies. The game covers how to upgrade cards at the beginning of the tutorial, but we will give you a step-by-step guide.
Upgrading your cards does not increase their energy level nor decrease their energy cost. So, you might be wondering why should I upgrade my cards if they aren’t stronger or do anything different. Well, there are multiple advantages of upgrading cards.
Upgrade cards allow you to change the visual appearance of the cards and add effects to them as well. Looks aside, each upgrade gives you more collecting levels and requires more boosters and credits to upgrade.
Attainment levels offer you a wide range of rewards. You can get new cards and different types of cards you already have. You can also get boosters and credits to upgrade your card, which in turn will give you more attainment levels.
As mentioned earlier, all cards require boosters and credits to upgrade but the amount you request changes with each upgrade. So as you advance in the upgrades, it will take longer and also cost you a bit extra.
You can buy quick upgrades from the store although we don’t recommend it as it is too expensive. Credits are abundant in the game but you need a large amount to upgrade all your cards. Here’s how much each upgrade will cost you.
- Uncommon from Common will cost you 25 Credits
- Rare Uncommon will cost you 100 Credits
- Epic from Rare will cost you 200 Credits
- Epic Legend will cost you 300 credits
- Ultra from Legendary will cost you 400 credits
- Infinite from Legendary will cost you 400 Credits
- Express upgrades cost 5 credits for each lost booster and upgrade cost.
The second thing you need to gain along with the credits are the boosts. Reinforcements are randomly distributed to any card you have and you can get 6 boosters from every match you play. You can also get boosters from collecting levels, which are mostly 5 and also assigned to a random card. Now, that’s a good amount of boosts but not being able to pick which card they go for quite a bit.
Just because you have the boosters to upgrade the card doesn’t mean you have to upgrade it right away. Your first focus should be to upgrade all cards from common to uncommon. Upgrading to Uncommon gives you the most credits attainment levels.
Effects of promotions
Marvel Snap is a multiplayer card game, so having the best and most unique cards is what the game is all about. Upgrading cards not only helps you advance in Marvel Snap but also helps change your cards dramatically and give them cool effects and animations to dazzle your opponents. Effects stack on each other so you don’t lose the old effect after upgrading to a new one.
The Common Card looks like your basic daily life card. It’s nothing special and all your cards will start at the common level. Upgrading these cards is the least expensive and also gives you the highest level of collection when compared to the credits.
Unfamiliar cards have a great visual effect where the main elements of the card break its frame and appear to be sticking out of the card. For an uncommon card, the frame separator is a good upgrade and gives a slight dent in your card.
Rare cards come after Uncommon and have a simple little effect. Upgrading a card from Uncommon to Rare makes the card 3D. Now you might be wondering how to make something 3D in a 2D game but rest assured that they made it happen. You can move your phone to see the 3D effect, and 3D is one of our favorite effects when playing on mobile.
Epic cards is when things start to get more interesting. While upgrading your cards to Epic is rare, get a cool effect. So, from the notes of your epic card, get animated and keep moving. The effects look really good when fighting your enemies and showing that you are an experienced player.
When you upgrade your Epic cards, they level up to Legendary and get another effect. The logo on your card is now shiny, and now for a card game with shiny cards, this is important. The glitter effect will surely be exciting for veteran card game players and collectors. The Legendary Card with the Shiny Logo and all the previous effects combined to make a great card.
After Legendary comes Ultra and this brings its own unique animation. Now there’s not much left for the card to get more exciting than the borders. Ultra cards have their moving limits. Ultra Effect is another animated effect that will frighten your opponents and make them retreat.
Infinite is the last level a card can achieve in a Marvel Snap, but the effect of Infinite is unique. Unique cards get a new random effect, split your card and give you a shared copy of the card. You can upgrade your copy card again and earn more levels. Now you may be wondering what happens if you upgrade the whole new version. You get another copy and this time the infinite effect will be different.
You’ll have to grind the game a bit longer if you’re trying to upgrade a specific card to Infinite. Each card costs a little more the more you upgrade it.
Here’s how much boosts each upgrade will cost you.
- Uncommon from Common will cost you 5 Boosters
- Rare Uncommon Will Cost You 10 Boosters
- Epic from Rare will cost you 20 boosters
- Epic Legend will cost you 30 boosters
- Ultra from Legendary will cost you 40 boosters
- Infinite from Legendary will cost you 50 boosters
- Quick upgrades cost 5 credits for each lost booster
We talked about the group level above but what exactly is it and how does it help you advance in Marvel Snap? Well, the group level is the leveling system in Marvel Snap which is how you get the upper hand over your opponents. Now there is a bit of luck but if you get enough levels you should get great rewards at the end.
Each upgrade provides you with more collecting levels and the more rare the card is, the more collecting levels it will give you. Here’s how many collecting levels you’ll get in each upgrade.
- Uncommon cards give you one collecting level.
- Rare cards give you two levels of collecting.
- Epic Cards give you four levels to collect.
- Legendary cards give you six collecting levels.
- Ultra cards give you eight collection levels.
- Infinite cards give you ten collecting levels.
The collection level provides you with everything you need and more to advance in Marvel Snap. The rewards in the collecting table in Marvel Snap provide you with boosters and credits so you can upgrade cards and progress further. But that’s not all they also give you new cards so you can be stronger and can build the best decks.
They also give you variants of the cards you own and rewards give you a new card to upgrade and show off.
At the beginning of the collecting level, the rewards are fixed and everyone gets the same. However, as you progress through the game, the rewards change and become random for everyone. The random system in the game may require a bit of luck but it keeps the game interesting.
When you first start the game, you will receive Jessica Jones in the first upgrade and you will have to add her to your collection in the tutorial. Now then you will get the second level of Ka-zar addon, both of which are great cards. However, starting from level 2 onwards, all rewards are given every other group level eg 4, 6, 8, 10. You will only receive cards up to level 14 in the group level tree.
Here are all the cards you will get in the fixed rewards. Also, these are the same for everyone, so your enemies will too.
- Level One: Jessica Jones
- Level Two: Ka-Zar
- Level Four: Mister Fantastic
- Sixth level: Frequency spectrum
- Level 8: Night crawl
- Level 10: Wolfespani
- Twelfth level: Wolfespan
- Level Fourteen: Odin
From level 16, rewards are fixed in a specific order in which you get 25 points, five boosters, and one mystery card. You get all these things with an interval of 8. For example, you will get points at level 16 and then again at level 18.
Now comes the random part in Mystery Cards, and you’ll need to be lucky to get the best cards. Now all mystery cards are random, but the higher you level up the deck tree, the higher your chances of getting better cards.
As you progress further in Marvel Snap, you will also start getting random variants of cards and upgrade your card these cards further for greater progression. As advised before, upgrading all cards to Uncommon is the best way to gain collecting levels.
Advice and tricks
Now as mentioned many times, your first priority is to upgrade all cards from Common to Uncommon, this is how you get the most out of your credits and earn the most combos levels. But the quick upgrade option in the market is not the best way to do it. You should play the game and get your own boosters, it will take more time, but you will save credit and generally get more boosts to upgrade more cards.
Now, you have to be wise about how you spend your credits but don’t store your credits either. Upgrading is the most important aspect of the game, so hoarding will only hinder your growth; Use your loans but use them wisely. Also, you cannot collect more credits if you have 5,000 Credits so spend it.
Complete your daily tasks and collect the free credits you get from the store. Skipping a day will put you behind, so focus on logging in every day and at least collecting credits and completing tasks. Completing missions grants Season Pass Xp and Gold, so you’ll make more progress in the game.
Speaking of gold, if you want to progress faster in Marvel Snap, the best use of your gold is to refill daily missions. The Daily Reload Mission gives you two additional missions that you can complete and earn more rewards to progress faster.
Focus on winning the games as you progress to start getting good rewards in the ranking progression as well. You don’t want to miss out on these prizes, so you must have a beginner’s knowledge of cards to win the game.
