Eggs were the subject of heated discussion among viewers. The tray had several half-cooked eggs which Rose was flipping over half-baked. They seemed to have been sitting in the tray for so long that they started to freeze, with half of the scrambled eggs remaining liquid and the other half with an almost custard-like appearance.

The on-screen video text reads “Work in a hotel like”.

It’s unclear if Rose made the video as a joke, but many viewers made sad jokes about the seemingly sad eggs.

One viewer commented, “No, thanks, I’m full.”

Another viewer commented: “That’s custard at that point LMAO.”

A third wrote: “Eggs?? I thought it was a pie.”

Some viewers defended Rose and her eggs, saying that she did nothing wrong and that her eggs were just eggs.

One user said: “This is literally what eggs do when they are cooked.”

Another user wrote “I mean yes that’s usually what scrambled eggs look like until you break them up lol”.

Many viewers said that they would eat eggs with pleasure, adding that hotel eggs “always hit”.

And one of the comments read: “I hit the hotel eggs.”

One viewer commented: “The eggs of hotels and hospitals hit another level, no lie.”

And what. Another viewer wrote, “I asked them a whole plate of those who are very good.”

In an updated video, Rose posts a much-needed tutorial on how to make eggs, explaining that they come in a box. Pour the packaged eggs into a bowl before pouring the raw eggs into food warmers. She explains that she is not a chef and the hotel is not big (another video confirms that she works somewhere in the Pacific Northwest) so she helps her wherever she can.

Rose leaves eggs “to simmer” in pans for more than two hours, first over medium heat and then over high heat. Many commentators were upset by this method, claiming that cooking food in food warmers is a violation of sanitary rules.

“Sooooo I don’t know if anyone mentioned it, but cooking food on a steam table is a violation of hygiene rules. They are made to hold food at temp,” wrote one user.

“No this is for warming. Do not cook. This is a major violation of health law. Another echoed them in the temperature danger zone for too long.”

Another wrote, “No wonder why this takes so long…because you cook raw eggs in something that is only supposed to keep cooked food warm.”

Rose did not immediately respond to these comments but did upload a video of her cooking results.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, raw, broken-shell eggs for immediate preparation should be cooked at 63°C (145°F) or higher for 15 seconds. The FDA also has many resources on how to properly cook eggs to prevent foodborne salmonella.
