Try beer, barbecue, family-friendly activities and more at Yonkers’ annual fall event
Grab your favorite pumpkin spice latte and cozy sweaters and head to Ridge Hill on the third Saturday in October for the annual Ridgetoberfest. This year, the iconic large-scale celebration returns for the first time since 2019, and guests are invited to experience food and beverage offerings, pumpkin carving, live music, and other family-friendly activities at this mixed-use destination in Yonkers.
During the Ridgetoberfest, Ridge Hill’s Central Market Street will be closed to pedestrian-only traffic from H&M to Fountain Plaza. The event officially kicks off October 15 at 3 p.m. with an outdoor beer garden presented by Bronx Beer Hall, smoky barbecue food from Father & Son’s Kitchen, photo-worthy roaming entertainment, and face painting. Maniac Pumpkin will also host carving shows and lead guests on a step-by-step tutorial to create their own pumpkins to take home. Ridge Hill tenants are joining in the fall fun, too, offering pop-up activities like paint shows with the Muse Paintbar, a put-and-gift contest with The Cup, spin the wheel to win with Monster Mini Golf and Healthy Holic, and more.
No celebration at the Ridgetoberfest would be complete without live music to wake the audience up to their dancing feet. The Lawrence Trailer Band will perform on the main stage near Fountain Plaza from 3-7 p.m. Once the fall festivities are over and the band plays their final tune, guests are encouraged to visit additional restaurants in Ridge Hill and Cheers! Happy season ahead.
