Battlefield Open Beta Launches In Select Regions

It appears that EA has launched the Battlefield Mobile beta in select regions, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. While other regions will follow soon, pre-registration has been activated, as the beta will be available to more players. The game was announced in April of last year, with pre-registrations open for only a few regions. Battlefield Mobile has been in the closed testing phase so far.

According to EA’s website, this open beta period will give players access to game modes such as Conquest, Warpath, Rush, and Team Deathmatch, along with four categories – Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon (thanks, VGC). “Fans can also watch Battlefield Mobile versions of beloved maps such as Noshahr and Grand Bazaar channels in Battlefield 3 and can expect to take control of vehicles like tanks,” the site said. “If you’re new to the series, don’t worry, the Open Beta will feature a tutorial to help you learn the basics of the battlefield. More content will be added to the Open Beta as we move toward the launch of the World Wide.”

Screenshots from Battlefield Mobile were leaked during playback testing, and at the time, those who had access to it claimed it was more devastated than Battlefield 2042. However, despite this, players don’t seem to like the game much. In April of this year, we reported on testing players discussing the game on Reddit. While some comments said that the mobile game was better than its main counterpart, others had a bad experience, saying that the graphics were rudimentary, the anti-aliasing made it impossible to see, and the game lags even on the lowest settings. However, it should be noted that it was still in its initial stage at the time and could improve since then.

Conversely, the recent sale on Steam drove up the total number of players in Battlefield 1. The number of concurrent players was just under 51,000 on November 6, 2022, which is impressive, considering that the game was released in 2016. The number was what Almost ten times as many players as Battlefield 2042, which launched last year.
