Akasa Air to start Pune-Bengaluru flights from Nov 23


The ninth destination in the Akasa Air network is Pune, which the airline will start service on November 23. According to a press release on Wednesday, portable flights began on August 7 and expects to reach 400 weekly flights and 58 daily flights by the end of November. .

The airlines have also decided to increase the frequency of flights between Bengaluru and Mumbai from November 23 in response to increased demand, bringing the total number of daily services on the route to seven.

Akasa Air will start the second frequency on the route on November 26 after starting service between Bengaluru and Pune on November 23.

According to a press release, Akasa will now operate 20 daily flights from Bengaluru to seven cities: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Kochi, Guwahati and Pune.

According to Praveen Iyer, co-founder and chief commercial officer of Akasa Air, who spoke to ET, connecting Bengaluru and Pune will offer improved connectivity and options as well as lower fares.

With a total of 13 flights covering 9 cities – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, and Pune – Akasa Air is steadily expanding its operations.
