This was stated by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) here on Saturday while speaking to a seminar for new faculty members to share capabilities with colleagues and UAF management.
He said that the Federation of Women’s Action enriched history because it was founded in 1906, as the first agricultural enterprise in the Indian subcontinent based on the recommendations of the Famine Commission to ensure food security.
He said that this year’s devastating flood disaster has wreaked havoc not only on people’s lives, but also on the agriculture sector.
He added that strong research work was necessary to address the various challenges the country is facing at this crucial moment.
He urged the college to inculcate rich Islamic values among the students. He added that the mandatory personality building educational group meetings cycle for all graduating students has been renewed.
