In less than a year, you will have the chance to travel through our new, modernized Terminal 1. As the weeks count down, we’re getting a clearer view of what the travel experience will be like in the terminal. Now, a huge piece of the picture has been revealed.
Four new stores are set to debut in Terminal 1. There is a definite focus on fashion and local partnerships with these new offerings.
Part bookstore, newsstand and convenience store, One Stop will have two locations on the Terminal 1 concourse. Here, you’ll find travel staples such as snacks, books, magazines and health and beauty items. But there’s a local twist to our two One Stop locations.
Marshall Retail Group, which is the prime concessionaire for the Terminal 1 retail program, is partnering with the Raleigh and Durham convention and visitors bureaus to highlight each city through in-store kiosks. They’ll work with Marshall Retail Group to make available local products, as well as information on attractions, businesses and deals for area visitors.
And yes, there’ll be plenty of sports merchandise from our top college and university teams.
We’ve studied past sales, requests from customers and our overall travel demographics. We’ve heard our passengers. There’s a demand for ladies fashion on the concourse. So, we’re excited to bring Marshall-Rousso, which has been the flagship store for Marshall Retail Group for more than 40 years.
In Marshall-Rousso, you’ll find a signature collection of women’s lifestyle fashion apparel. The store will also feature brands such as Guess, Carina, bebe, Tianna B., Tommy Bahama and more.
Co-located with Marshall-Rousso is Ruby blue. This store will offer passengers the hottest trends in costume jewelry and accessories for women of all ages. We’re confident that you’ll love shopping a range of designs from conservative to chic and urban to sophisticated.
Inside Ruby blue will be a wide range of items including jewelry, scarves, belts, handbags, watches, wallets and hats. These will be offered through a variety of brands such as Juicy Couture, Gypsy Junkies, Hello Kitty, Jeff Lieb, Lenni Navarro Jewelry, Mary Frances and more.
And, there’s a local educational component as well. Marshall Retail Group is partnering with the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham to offer internships and real-world experience in both Marshall-Rousso and Ruby blue.
A favorite in Terminal 2, we’re glad to bring Techshowcase into Terminal 1. Operated by APW Brands, the store will feature a variety of technology-related items. These include both travel essentials and high-end electronics. Just like in Terminal 2, you’ll be able to play with gadgets before purchasing them.
That’s not all. In the coming months, we’ll be announcing the shop and/or restaurant that will be located pre-security between Ticketing and bag claim. It will be open to all visitors to Terminal 1.
