‘Tis The Day Before Thanksgiving

‘Tis the day before Thanksgiving at Raleigh-Durham International Airport

“Travelers are arriving by the dozens,” we can easily report.

Cars are finding parking in our garage is simply quite a breeze

And, friends are dropping off loved ones at the curb with such ease.

Skycaps at the terminal are at the ready to provide free help with your luggage

“I’m sure sir, it’s free, there’s no tipping allowed,” you can hear one encourage.

Our staff is standing just inside the terminal doors, wearing bright new white gloves

Pointing the way and answering questions in bag claim below and ticketing above.

Inside Terminal 1 and over at Terminal 2, music is sure to greet your ears

It’s our holiday music series, a tradition we’ve had, going back many years.

Lines are moving smoothly at the ticket counters and over at security

We’re sure you’ll find yourself on the concourse without a hint of scurry.

From fresh-made salads for the plane or a leisurely sit-down meal for eight

There are plenty of choices for dining that for the boarding call, you won’t be late.

And feel free to let The Shops of RDU tempt you to purchase for the holidays early

Just sign up for Thanks Again and earn rewards or miles to plan your next journey.

When the turkey’s gone, you’ve packed up and go to the airport to fly home back to RDU

Look for our white glove service and the Christmas Tubas to put you in the holiday mood.

And one more thing to offer! Should your car’s battery throw a wrench in your trip home

We have free jumpstart and lockout services, so just pick up a blue assistance phone.

We really hope that you’ve enjoyed our short Thanksgiving rhyme.

Just remember to arrive about two hours ahead of departure time.

And one thing we almost forgot to mention to give you the best of trips
