If you fly, or dream of flying, non-stop from RDU to the West Coast, here’s some great news. Airlines are adding extra flights on both the LAX and SFO routes.

The second daily flight brings improved connections to Asia. United Airlines begins non-stop service from San Francisco to Taipei on March 29 and to Chengdu, China on June 9.

The airline is also working with government regulators to begin non-stop service from SFO- Tokyo-Haneda airport, which is located closer to downtown Tokyo than Narita Airport, which you can currently reach via  SFO.

In addition, find great connections via our two non-stop San Francisco routes to:

  • Beijing
  • Hong Kong

If someone is going to northern Asia (Beijing, Osaka, etc) from RDU, it’s much shorter to connect at Chicago, New York, Detroit, etc than at SFO.

  2. Love that these are connection friendly. Awesome!

This schedule makes no sense (look at the length of the flight):

    RDU-LAX*

    7:03 a.m. – 9:39 p.m.
